I just grabbed an XPS 14 Ultrabook for $668 from Dell outlet!

My parents have had an old HP laptop for 8 years now lol, after waiting 20 minutes to install Zune yesterday I decided to upgrade them for xmas!

It was under scratch and dent so I thought I would take a risk and see if I get lucky because that is an awesome price!

If I'm not happy with it aesthetically I can send it back I think?

*excited*

Not if they told you the cosmetic condition, you'd need another reason to send it back, unless they have a no questions asked returns policy.

Yeah that is what I thought, I would still be purchasing a laptop from them what ever the outcome is so I don't think they would be too grumpy! :o

This would only work for 7 days after the delivery I believe, suppose it gives you a time to look at the cosmetic condition and judge it for yourself.

Correct you must notify them that you intend to return it under the DSR within 7 days but it does not need to reach them in that 7 days.

He didn't specifically answer about the 7 day policy under DSR meh!

If you are already aware it is a Scratch and Dent unit and you want to return it because of that cosmetic issues

For the records:

Scratch and Dent (S&D) are machines with cosmetic issues, he scratches or dents are not bigger than 2.5 inches and they do not affect the computer's performance. will not have scratches or pits on the screen, missing or illegible letters on the keyboard, or damage to the touchpad or palmrest.

If you need to cancel your order or make changes after the order has been placed, you will have to first receive the order, and then contact Customer Care to set up a return. In cases where a return is required & no new order is booked, a 15% restocking fee will be assessed.

You can return for whatever reason you like under the DSR doesn't matter if they've told you about it or not and they cannot charge a restocking fee.

This is correct, some websites still try to ignore this. I think the T&C on Amazon at one point allowed their sellers to charge restocking fees.
