Just got a 7950 but I hadn't realised (never crossed my mind to check) that unlike my GTX470, only one of the DVI ports is dual link, the other is single link :(

So one of my screens is only running at 60hz and I would like to run it at 120hz if possible. If I switch to HDMI on one of the screens will I then be able to have 2x 120hz? I read some random stuff somewhere about people having trouble using HDMI and DVI-D at the same time on AMD so just wanted to check if that is still the case.

Thanks but that solution doesn't seem to work for me, it makes 120hz available to choose but the display goes blank when I try to a apply it.

Neither monitor has a display port input I believe, basically it is:

Primary: DVI, HDMI
Secondary: DVI, VGA

So thinking of trying primary on HDMI and then moving the secondary monitor to the dual-link DVI slot.

I'm in a similar position actually. Ordered the MSI Twin Frozr III 7950 yesterday and later on in the day I acutally looked into the connections on the card and very surprised to see only one DVI.

My main monitor is 120Hz and only have DVI, secondary has DVI + VGA.

To run dual screen of the TF III I take I'll need something like this?

Or is there something that would do the job in the box does anyone know?

The TF3 is a fantastic deal but it's a tad annoying to have to buy something else just because of a lack of connections. Is DVI being faded out?
