which car

Trim.

I would go with the Focus. Cheap to service, cheap to fix. Basically cheap for everything. It is a Ford at the end of the day.

well guys thanks for the help

I am down to 2...either the corolla or the focus....hard to decide as reading on the net a lot of people say the corolla wins hands down over the focus.....
I am going to give the corolla a test drive before i make up my mind....cant help thinking the focus having 20k less miles on the clock and being a year younger than the corolla is the best choice.

Either should be perfectly good in all honesty - there isn't really much between any newish hatchback with a lower end petrol engine - particularly if you aren't too fussed about how chuckable it is.

Have a look at both and see what you think, the ford will be a bit cheaper to service and is a little bit better in terms of boot space etc. The mileage is a non issue, being a little newer cant hurt though. Id say I personally preferred the interior of the corolla although its a little dark in the cabin in general.

A 2004 Focus 1.6 would be petrol

And there it is. I can't get away skim reading threads in here like I do everywhere else :p

In which case, good choice!

Sorry better explain....I have bought a Focus 1.6 LX petrol car.It is a 04 plate with 43k on the clock, it comes with alloys, air con, front and rear heated windows, cd, etc etc. Looks like a nice clean car.Hope it proves to be a good choice ;)
