Spec me a crazy game

A fast paced shooter, with tons of melee and scripted kills. Preferably in the third person but an fps would be welcome. Something like Saints Row (combat wise, but if it's free roam too then cool ). Actually, which Saints Row let you flying clothesline/dropkick etc. people after plugging them a few times?

Or Turok for example; the more scripted and animated the better, but plenty of gun play and some stealth wouldn't go a miss. Not a Splinter Cell game as I've played those to death.

Something like The Punisher would be perfect. Or a super fast paced version of Resident Evil 4/5.

Big firefights and tasty, frequent and varied melee kills are mandatory, anything else is a bonus. PC only.

I have Sleeping Dogs, the gunfights and melee fights are too separated for what I want, and there isn't really much of an option to mix inbetween the two, and doing so doesn't really feel fluid at all.

Well The Punisher, Turok and Saints Row 2 do it best off the top of my head, but I've played all of those to death and don't think The Punisher is on the PC, and if it is, It'll most likely be impossible to find.

Like, you run up to somebody with a gun, press a certain button prompt or a certain key/button and you'll go into an animation where you, I don't know; pistol whip them onto the floor and casually shoot them in the face while walking away.

Actually, what game does that exact kill? That didn't come off the top of my head, but I'm blank.

I know it's not very melee heavy beyond smashing people with your rifle butt or kicking them to various amusing deaths, nor is it third person but Bulletstorm might be worth looking into if you haven't played it before Also can't remember if it had any melee but The Club was a pretty fast paced shooter where you tried to rack up scores as quickly as possible (also can't remember if it was any good...).

Terrible as a shooter IMO, and never feels natural doing it.

Had both of those, Bulletstorm was fun, but it's not really what I'm looking for.

AvP 2010 or whatever year it was is pretty poor but the marine campaign is really good imo. If you can get it for £5 that is worth it for the marine campaign.

No real melee except whipping in JC2, love the gunplay though. Does Total Overdose have any melee? I'm watching it now but don't see any.

They are more hack and slash than anything, fluid but not fast paced enough IMO, not enough gunplay in WH.

Punisher is on PC, didn't know it was on anything else! One of my all time favourite games, don't know if it'd work on Win7 etc though as it's a few years old. Played it through a million times, nothing beats it for that type of gameplay

The PC ports are pretty decent with a controller having a PS3 would open up more options though haha.
