I have to say that £399 plus £10 for a top up is pretty amazing if only it wasn't locked to EE networks.

Having said that I think that is a worthwhile investment. Eventually it will be unlocked and then we have a chance to make a profit on it.

Are we sure you can actually go into a store and buy one?

you can go to p4u and buy one but only black and white. Some branches are only selling it WITH a contract and not sim free only handset. others are giving both options

Stop me if I'm bring stupid but what is £399?

wireless charger is available to UK And ROI and you simply go to a nokia website (posted earlier in this thread) to get one by entering your IMEI and a number on the box I think. If you dont have a number on the box then IMEI is apperently sufficient. you dont get the charger in store/within the box. you need to claim it :)

How reliable is the P4U website? I placed an order today and it said delivery would be in 48 hours. I'm a little sceptical about that that reading though this thread.

Yep, I know I was one of the guys that posted the links to both the p4u page and straight to the freenokiacharger.com page but the p4u page will ultimately take you to the same website so I'm not sure if it is something exclusive to p4u buyers only.

This. I think the 48hrs might apply in normal circumstances but not when we're talking about a new device with limited stock.

Email in the early hours of Saturday saying it would be shipped out next working day for delivery the next working day after that. Phone turned up Saturday at 12pm.

p4u over the phone said to me 5 working days, said they had plenty of the red 920s in

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!? REDS?!?!?!?!!?!

how is that even possible when they barely have black and white in stock AND they said that they wont get the other colors until probably the end of the month/beg of dec? Even t-mobile said that (150)

so are you saying that if people flashed their 920 which was "network locked", then it would be unlocked?!

No, I'm saying that if you flash some other firmware in your phone then the unlock code required to unlock the phone doesn't change.

The unlock code is based on the operator code, the IMEI and the model of the phone. Which is why the unlock sites always ask for such information.
