I believe that when they got rid of the 12 month contracts, they started offering the speaker with every 24 month Lumia contract - http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop...0613&NetKey=50&intcid=4gphones_lumia920_black
I basically rang them to ask if I needed to cancel and reorder to take advantage, and they put notes on my order promising me a speaker. Whether or not they should have done I have no idea, but worth a phonecall - good luck!
With the mac sync, it is able to put playlists etc onto your phone? Mine appear to work and then generate an error message.
You're on about the speaker, I meant the charger.
I put all of my music I want on the phone in an iTunes playlist and then choose to sync that. It then copies all of that music to the phone.
TBH, given the general apathy I have towards Apple recently I might get a Surface pro, it will make syncing a lot easier. I suppose I could stick Windows 8 on my Mac using Bootcamp.
Has anyone seen any information about the cyan 920 coming to the uk? I know AT&T currently have it in the states. I can't decide whether to wait indefinitely for it to come over here or whether to just get one of the other colours.
It's exclusive to AT&T. Cyan won't be making its way over here any time soon.
How in hell are they locking these damn phones?
First flash was to the generic GB variant which others have reported is still locked.
Then I went to 059Q9L7 - the generic german release as that should be the firmware that is getting shipped with our german orders, I have no idea if it worked as I could not get the phone to pick up my SIM - would not recognise it all.
I then went to the Vodafone Italian release as it is a Vodafone SIM that I want to use, I haven't a clue why, but it still wouldn't recognise my SIM in that either. Tried my Vodafone one as well as my T-Mobile pre-paid
Im going to flash back to the EE GB version and then take the thing back to P4u and just wait for my german order to come through..

That's not good news. I am hoping that orange come back to me quickly with an unlock code as I will flash generic firmware and apply the unlock. Does Andy have any bright ideas?
Woops - worth a try on the website anyway when it goes live - the P4U person I spoke to told me that even though I didn't have a sticker, I should be able to call Nokia to get the code with my IMEI after the 16th. Perhaps that will work for you too.
Also there is a slight quirk with the mac software that I only just found out about - if sync isn't working, go to file -> allowed folders in the 'windows phone' program, and add the music folder - after that's done, it works perfectly.
So I rang a bunch of p4u again this morning, same thing - not sure when the color will come in but I rang one of them in london on oxford street and she said "10-12 weeks" for the red or yellow!!!!!!!
a guy in Bracknell said that he expects to get a whole bunch of them tomorrow and he is after the red himself....

also 70% of the stores I rang said they only do it on contract and the rest said they do it sim free....

Wasn't it mentioned that it's stored somewhere else on the device? That way it doesn't matter what you change the firmware to the code locking it to a network won't be changed.
Press Shift-F5 to force a refresh of the page or clear your browser cache out. You're seeing an old copy of the page I think.
