So a request like this basically ruins it for everyone as OcUK won't be able to provide any sweets in case they risk alienating or offending a particular ethnic group.

i must have missed where OCUK have decided no longer to offer haribo sweets to their customers due to offending or alienating a particular ethnic group.

The OP just asked if it was possible to supply halal haribo, which people are forgetting in here...he hasnt once demanded that OCUK supply him with halal haribo.

Maybe it's the halal ones specifically that such?

Probably not, only difference between the halal and non halal ones is the lack of gelatine. Ive had my friends try both out and they more or less said that they both tasted the same.

Like i said for me, haribo whether its halal or not is nasty and vile and therefore i dont eat them. Although i have a bag of halal haribo in my cupboard that my missus eats now and again. But i wont eat them, i dont eat any jelly type of sweets.

I understand it's a goodwill gesture. I'm not after any free sweets, it was just an idea. I'm glad they gave me a packet at all. It's nice of them to add that little touch. I'm not complaining, if I could eat them, I would.
