Call of Duty: Black Ops II

For those who didn't pre-order, does anyone know if the supermarkets are doing any in-store deals?

Might pick it up on the way to work tomorrow. I think I saw an advert for £39.99 in Sainsburys (as I was reading someones Metro over their shoulder on the tube!!)

Soulja, what are the player numbers at the moment?

Yes map design is one area that will not improve with increased players, but the "lag comp" might do. You cannot be talking about being done with it already before it's even officially released surely?!?!?

There seems to be quite a few people on. If my only problem was the lag comp i'd wait and see how it is after a few fixes but the maps can't be changed. Really isn't a fun game to play anymore.

I can't decide to get this or not; I haven't 'enjoyed' Call of Duty since Modern Warfare , I did like Black Ops though.

Is it worth £40? I got Mordern Warfare III and sold it on after less then a week, poor single player and multiplayer was run and gun, nothing else to it.

Someone want to sell this to me and someone want to say it's terrible? :p

£25 if you spend £30 on shopping in store. cigs and petrol not included... :D

Are all the maps really that bad?

Nearly all of them. There is so many ways you can get through the maps that you're forever being shot in the back or by a camper. The layouts ruin objective based games as it's so easy to pick people off at the points from a distance and from 4 different angles. Such a shame.

Can't decide if I should go pick this up tonight or tomorrow morning. Either way really looking forward to it. :D

Soulja m8 I think the maps will eventually turn out to be OK. I've always preferred BLOPS maps over MW2 and MW3. If they are as open as you say it will just take a bit of time to re-adjust from all the corridor type maps of MW3 I reckon.

You could be right. Might not help that i'm playing with randoms. I'll see how we get on with a decent party. The random foreigners could also be the reason for dodgy lag comp.

Anyone know if Tesco will be stocking hardened editions at midnight tonight? Game etc already sold out on theres, what I get for not being bothered till last minute :p

Well i've preordered from sainsburys only to find out they're not opening at midnight, so it's a good nights sleep and collect it at 6, and then on it for as long as possible!!

I'm really looking forwards to nuketown 2025 as nuketown was one of my favourite maps.

Black ops SP was good. The MP I must have played for all of about 2 hours and it's collected dust ever since.

Any idea if this is supposed to have better multiplayer like MW2 did?

God I hope not! Blops was an excellent MP.

On the PS3 I found it slow, laggy and had FPS issues?

Yes, it did generally have a few issues on the PS3. 360 did also have some of the problems but they weren't as bad, such as FPS issues. Black Ops in my opinion was one of the best multiplayer CoD games released. I even now still can go back and play it for a WAY longer time than MW3.
