Well, he did take over after Vista and was responsible for Win7, so he can't have been all bad. Besides, MS is famous for compartmentalising its teams, and the in-fighting which goes on.Like Steve Jobs I suppose, but without the ideas to back up the attitude.
Of course this may just be another step in the Apple-ification of MS. The other week Apple dumped an awkward character responsible for, among other things, Maps. And now MS "say farewell to" an awkward character responsible for Win8.
What next, build an ugly yacht?
