MSI 7950 change it to Gigabyte?

Some have security stickers on the screws, some don't.
As long as it's not obvious, you ought to get away with it.
 
TBH ive had both 7850 WF and the 7850 TF and they are nearly identical, the MSI cards default was 30% while the WF was 40%.

Set a custom fan profile if you want it to stay cooler?

The WF did cool down much faster after gaming i must add, but both capped at 59-60C during full load and that was like 50% fan speed?

One was so bad I took it out as soon as I finished benching for my Surround/Eyefinity 680 SLI vs 7950 CF thread.

The first card was 'OK' but still hotter than it should have been. Once I bought an IceQ and realised this, that card has gone back too. In fact OcUK received them this morning so should be refunded soon.

Wow didn't know you took two back :0 guess I'm lucky! 60c is max on load with a 60% fan profile and a oc of 1150/1800 @ 1143 vdc. But vrm max temp is 69c don't know if that's good . But with those overclocks I'm happy with that

I wouldnt mind betting this is a problem similar to the first batch of DirectCU 7950's, where the heatsink isnt making proper contact with the GPU. Perhaps they are using the same heatsinks from the original 7950's and fitting them on the new ones with the 7970 PCB. All it takes is a capacitor which is higher or a different height on the shim and you can end up with poor contact with the GPU.

Room temp around 23-24C

The only thing i can hear in my PC is the HDD.
So my target is kind of reached since the gpu is quiet even at 50% which is suprising and if you say that temp 60-64 is very good than i will not change it.
I`v ordered my card on friday so it is the newer version.
