Gaming Rig check/advice.

The HDD should be swapped for one that preferably is not 'green' as those HDDs only do 5600RPM (I think), when there are 7200RPM HDDs available. As for the PSU, I've heard a few things about problems with Corsair at the moment. Also with the amount you are spending on the PC, I would suggest a modular PSU. Perhaps this:
YOUR BASKET
1 x XFX Pro Series 750W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £79.99
Total : £90.49 (includes shipping : £8.75).

Also, the RAM is rather tall so you may have trouble in fitting the cooler, although I'm not too sure about this.

I will change the power supply as you suggest, and the seagate 2tb instead.

Edit - Will change ram to Teamgroup Elite

Are you planning on sticking to a single 7970 (non-SLI)? If so you can get away with a smaller PSU.

Swap RAM for this:

I don't plan to go SLI/Crossfire as i don't need that much GPU power, as for a lower watt power supply, there will be more peripherals a sound card etc. And i am not fussed about saving any money on the power supply.

So I've upgraded the mobo + the case, HAF X, mainly because it looks like a beast + space + cooling

Noctua Because its apparently the best, and will OC it.

Throwing in a optical drive and a new matt because my current one is dead.

Many thanks to those who responded.
