If you can afford it join a gym rather than messing about with buying more kit for home, unless you're going to do it properly and get a power rack etc.
Oh yeah totally, I'm one of the first to roll my eyes when someone new starts a "spec me a routine" thread, and the first thing they mention is wanting big arms or listing 50 different curl variations![]()

I really don't get this one (I'm not saying it isn't true, I just don't see why people do it)
Abs are much more desired than arms

Rarely is that the case IMO. From the women I've spoken to about it they see men with abs as very vain and likely to be self centred.
Where as big arms are big arms, women like big arms
(though as someone with big arms and no abs visible, I could just have found women who were being polite lol)
