Corsair Vengeance K60 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard @ £71.99 inc VAT

KB-000-CA_400.jpg

Cherry® MX Red key switches are the best of the best — they provide the sensitivity and low operating force that professional gamers love. Reaction times are ulra-fast and responsive for quicker double and triple taps. The action is predictable and linear unlike lesser gaming keyboards that have a tactile bump or the annoying click of a typist’s keyboard.
The Vengeance K60 is designed to give you complete control even during the most intense action. The contoured, textured WASD and #1-6 keys are soft to the touch and without slip so you can focus on the game without needing to look down to find the right controls. An extra set of standard typing keycaps and a keycap replacement tool are provided for general typing.
Our expertly designed anti-ghosting technology provides flawless control even when you're pressing multiple keys at once. The K60 has individual switches with dedicated diodes for each switch so every key press results in an input and is 100% ghost free without tradeoff or compromise.
Typical USB gaming keyboards are limited to the USB standard six-key rollover. The K60 features increased performance with a 20-key rollover implementation on USB at a blazing fast 1ms (1000 reports per second) reporting rate.
The comfortable yet rugged design is ideal for single player or LAN party gaming and provides increased durability and stability when compared those that are primarily plastic. The stiff suspension chassis and the laser etched keys are made for durability so they won’t degrade over time.

- Light, responsive Cherry MX Red mechanical switches for fast, efficient gaming action
- 45g actuation Force
- 2mm to actuation and 4mm to bottom
- Rated for 50 million operations
- Gold contacts
- Ten (10) additional sculpted FPS keys (W, A, S, D and 1 to 6) for superior reaction and control — interchangeable with the standard keyboard keys Gaming palm rest with soft-touch surface for superior gaming comfort

Can anybody recommend the Intel Liquid Cooling Solution? Been looking to get a closed loop but unsure which one to get.

Looks nice, will do ok, but performs relatively poorly.
Ask around in the cooling sub-forum and check reviews.
It's a good discount, but for £60, you're better off with high end air cooling tbh.

Sorry OcUk :)

I disagree.
I love my Corsair H50, it's neat quiet, stylish and reduces weight hanging off the mobo.

It is also easy to clean - unlike many complicated air coolers.

I would probably buy the Intel version if I was in the market for a cooler now.

I suppose that's the question though isn't it? Is it better than the Corsair H50?

Another one with the 'weight hanging off a mobo' line...
Oh dear.

Where are all these people with buckled motherboards?

If you're happy with it, that's great, but none of your points have anything to do with what I said :)
If you were in the the market and you'd still go for this...? Hey, it's your money.

Yes, I like it. It would make a stylish addition to my PC.

Anyway, why are you even posting in a sales thread?

It would be like me posting in a ATi sales thread saying 'don't buy ATi get nVidia'

It's neither relevant nor useful. ;)

Yes it would, but that has nothing to with performance, which is what I was obviously talking about.

I was answering someone who asked if it could be recommended.
You're here posting your opinion. What gives you the right over me?

No it wouldn't. See above.

It's neither relevant nor useful. ;)

Yes it is if you value lower noise levels and better cooling for your money. It's not awful, but it's not in the same league.
If looks are enough for you then fair enough.

Is your opinion somehow more useful, and in what way?

Either way, I'm not telling him to shop elsewhere am I?

@Uncle Petey
It's a stylish, practical cooler.

The H50 has been superb, I highly recommend this style of cooler, for a 'neat' look in your case, easy/maintenance free.

Not everyone is going for light dimming overclocks.

You don't have to be :)

Nobody's denying it looks good and will do a decent enough job. In fact, I considered it briefly before doing a little research.
I don't recall air coolers having any maintenance issues either.

Just get full of dust nothing more.

The H50, just undo 4 screws, remove the fan & brush the rad clean and your done, no canned air etc required.

We could debate the pro's and cons of air vs clc all day, but that's not the point and neither is the slight difference in cleaning the dust out :D.
The whole point of my response to the guy who asked about performance, is that for £60, high end air is better. That is all :)

If he's set on clc, then fine.

Ok, I will settle on that.

That cooler would be the perfect finishing touch to my PC though.

Blue theme.

;)
