Which Jobs Pay Well But Aren't Too Demanding?

Definitely a tube driver.

Someone said above about the stress and mentioned somebody they know not coping having hit and killed somebody whilst driving a tube, there's very little you could do in that situation as a driver. Not like you can steer to avoid it and in any event you'd probably be giving that person what they want, albeit it's very selfish on their behalf to just take their own life.

And at the end of the day, people knock over and kill people on the roads every day, mothers that baby shaking syndrome kill their babies, surgeons may make wrong decisions they believed were right. All these people and many more probably have reason to blame themselves but often overcome that blame. It's as much about the individual as it is the job. Some people are just emotionally stronger than others.

I don't get paid very much at the moment I'm afraid.....less than £30k currently. But it will, in time, very much fit the OPs requirements. :)

Huh, ah well, good luck :)

Thought from the cars in the 'things we bought in month x' that you were on slightly more than that.

I have a pretty good pension from the Navy, I used to earn a very high salary in my previous occupation and my Wife earns a significant salary....eventually the earning potential is pretty good, but currently the project I am on combines my Phd study so all in all is pretty good and I am building a professional reputation and body of work so when I move on to a new project I can (hopefully) write my own ticket although Money isn't my motivating factor anymore, if it were I would have remained in my last position. Life's too short just to accumulate money.
