It doesn't seem like the 920 camera is overly impressive in normal situations then.

I don't like this 'it's only because the iphone uses post processing' argument. I'd say 90% of people will just be taking regular snaps just like the pics posted in this thread, they don't want to mess around sharpening/contrast afterwards, they just want the best looking pics with the press of a button. (At least that's what I use my phone camera for).

It is by no stretch of the imagination a bad camera but I'd say the iphone pics posted in this thread are at least as good if not better (to my eyes at least).

well im hoping my red lumia 920 gets delivered tomorrow from p4u.

its funny as I walked into 2 branches on the opposite ends of the town centre and asked them again about the sim free/unlock situation:

shop1: "yup. they are unlocked my friend. i popped in a different sim and it works no problem"
shop2: "nope, they are locked to t-mobile and orange only. the other store may not have read the memo"

so which one is it guys??!

Nokia have said they are working on a update for the camera, which from past experiences should be released pretty quickly.

However, that said images are some what a personal thing, some people like them over over-saturated tones and colors and other people prefer a more neutral colors and tones.

Im happy to wait for the update as Nokia have admitted that there might be an issue and will issue an update, then we can judge on a level playing field....

To me the 920s day shots look far more realistic to live and accurate.
Where all the others are exagerate the colours far to much.

However I don't think this is a good idea, public know and like the exagerated colours as it makes photos look better.

iPhones are to orange, s3 has the best balance out of all of them, but still orangey. Could do with something between 920 and the s3

hmm I got home and saw a city-link card saying they missed me. could that be my phone? I am also expecting a parcel to be picked up but no idea the courier of that!... the time was 1520 when they dropped the card

Yeah same here, even though I was assured by the p4u live chat guy that it'd be sent via royal mail and also told in my dispatch email that it'd be royal mail :/

Odd thing with mine was that they didn't even leave a name on the card so I wasn't sure if it's something for my partner or not. However after seeing this I guess it's my phone. Shall have to pick it up from the depot now over the weekend which is much further away than my local sorting office like I was planning on doing :(

EDIT

My email said if it has a free gift it'd come via courier, I wasn't aware that I was getting anything other than my phone though.

Now people are starting to get them, i think we should start posting some pictures of them with our different home screens. I'll start.
