Hi all, I just sold my bequiet 430w psu and a 560ti 2gb to fund my new psu, it will need to power an i5 2500k, gtx580 matrix platinum and other smaller bits and bobs(6 fans, hdd and ssd).

I will probably upgrade my motherboard next to a better supporting sli board with more over clocking features so I'm looking for a psu that has multi gpu support, it has to be fully/hybrid modular and the higher the rating the better.

I know corsair are great, silverstone and seasonic too but I was really interested in the evga nex750w gold, I can't really find any reviews online for it though.

What would be your recommendations for what I need, budget is up to £110/£115 (I get free delivery so all of budget can be used)

Cheers, Dane

One of these?

FSP, I don't know... :) Not an OEM with a spotless record.

Only thing I could find.

Based on a FSP Raider, I'd steer clear.

Single GPU, 650W will be more than enough. Recommended Seasonic, Corsair AX series (Basically, they are Seasonic X-series).

I'd go Seasonic G650, Seasonic X650, since they are in your budget. These are Rolls Royces, so if you want better value, PC Power&Cooling Silencer 600W (It's a Seasonic S12II) maybe. 46 amps @ 12V rail, should be plenty. Also Silverstone Strider Plus 670W (Enhance Electronics, good OEM), Antec High Current Gamer M 620W (Seasonic OEM 48 amps).

YOUR BASKET
1 x Seasonic X-Series 650w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £114.98
1 x Silverstone Strider Plus 750W Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply (ST75F-P) £104.99
1 x Seasonic M12II 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply £99.98
1 x Seasonic G series 650w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £99.98
1 x Antec High Current Gamer M 620W "80+ Bronze" Modular Power Supply £82.99
1 x Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £76.99
1 x PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III Series 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply - White £69.98
Total : £662.51 (includes shipping : £10.50).

Scratch that last question, looking at benches and prices for cards, seems a little silly to go for sli 580's when they're drawing 750+ and 6950cf which is much cheaper is not far off on performance and much less power consumption.

To be honest, I really don't rate SLI / Crossfire, for single display. If you need more graphics grunt, IMO, you'll be better off selling your 580, and getting like a 680 / 7970. Too much headache, and expensive. Triple screen, another story, you need a lot of horsepower.

Sorry one last question about the silverstone unit, does anyone know the warranty length, I couldn't find it on their site, probably missed it with being tired.

Cheers, ok so I looked around today and have found two I can't decide on, the silverstone said above, or the rainforest place have a corsair hx750w+ for a similar price, wondering if this will be a better buy?
