They probably have a custom screen name. If you can get to the contacts information from withing whatsapp, you should be able to choose which name you see. Or tell them to stop being a douche and remove the screen name.

Hmm very odd. Just tried and you are right, only for deleting though. Hitting the sync button forces the delete.

It'll synch your changes when you force it, have it set on a schedule or it receives a push from the server. It's worked this way since 7.x.
But you would expect when you delete an item it to be deleted straight away no?
You received emails straight away, why not delete straight away.
well no. because its all about syncing on demand unless you explicitly have a setting changed... (if possible)
the emailing is pushed to your phone (or it polls for emails coming in).
not only that. what if you didnt have data connection? how would it delete? it wouldnt. think of it as "preparing" to do things before finally commiting to doing them

Got mine from Clove today, not totally won over with it straight away but will give it a fair trial. The white 920 is not as nice as my white N9, so maybe replace the white housing later on with Cyan or Red when full housing kits start to trickle out.

Well I never expected this, T-Mobiles delivering mine tomorrow.
Nice Brenn, when did you order yours? I Ordered back on 30/10, still had absolutely nothing.

I *think* the text (pretty sure) is from the courier.
If you didn't specify having it sent via courier, it'll be sent out via Royal Mail and you won't get a text. I would be home tomorrow if I were you!!!

Only difference I guess is that mine is from EE (although pretty sure they will be coming from the same warehouse) New business also so was not given the option of courier delivery.
Gives me a little hope though.

Gmail implementation not the greatest. Emails arrive late, early and sometimes not at all. Deleting them means they stay on the server for a bit.
I also hate how you have to download images on a email everytime!! Even things like company banners. Wish emails would come through as they should be.
Whatsapp notifications not on lock screen. Likewise for Kik.
Needs more than 5 notifications on the lock screen.
I wish the status bar would remain at the top on the home screen. The Sybil's for wifi and reception disappear.
I realise these are WP8 issues and not nokia's but it's a pain :-/

I wish it supported wallet payments, I have an NFC SIM from orange, but I'm not sure if it's the SIM or the phone, but I can't enable NFC in wallet... I'll just have to be patient I guess!

Hmm... I've got mine coming tomorrow but won't be able to play/test it out until Saturday night.
Seems there's still a lot of annoyances, bugs... as expected but hope these are acknowledged and ironed out sooner rather than later. I expect a lot of updates from Microsoft to keep the customers and user experience happy.
I think this is a misunderstanding. NFC can be implemented in the SIM card, so even if your phone doesn't have NFC it can be added with a special SIM.

My understanding is the problems stems from UK Banks, they have to provide an app which will enable you to use NFC from your account with them. So, that could take years as they wont see the value in supporting such a technology, especially as you could just as easily use a bank card (in their opinion) Its a shame but NFC will only be useful for charging in this country.
