I found the option to enable and disable it however i cant seem to find the option to increase the voltage for it? Does anyone know which or where it is?
The cpu PLL voltage is not the same thing.
Anyone? Help please![]()
This option is to enable the Phase lock loop voltage increase within the CPU its self. Its either on or off basically and is set to Intel standard.
So if i can't boot in with 4.8ghz then what else can i tweak to get past this and actually boot into windows?
Even though I'm learning overclocking day by day, one thing I'm certain of is, that if it wont boot to windows under default, with a turbo x48, and nothing else changed, then it's just not going to, no matter what settings you hit it with. x48 is too high for your hardware. You probably could under extreme circumstances but with probable temps touching the TJ Max, Unless you stick it in the freezer![]()
I was hoping i could win the chip lottery and get a chip that could do 4.8+
I'll settle for 4.7ghz then, like others have said 4.8ghz isn't worth the extra heat or voltages for very little gain.
Still nice to have a chip that can reach 4.7ghz![]()
Why dont you try with this, im not sure how comfortable you are with using manual vcore adjustment but my current config is as follows.
Turbo multiplier x47
Vcore 1.395v
Llc high
Cpu pll voltage 1.6v
Internal pll enabled
Cpu current capability 130%
Thermal capacity 150
All enery saving features enabled
manually clocked my ram instead of xmp profile
