Is there anyone that doesn't like Foo Fighters - Everlong?

I'm not so much a Foo Fighters fan these days ... I had bought the first album when it was first out and liked The Color & The Shape (the best FF album tbh ;)) which Everlong is on ... they're a really good band but most stuff released is just not quite my cup of tea for rock music as its definitely a bit pop-oriented.

Its one of my favourite tunes ever and watching Dave Grohl play it on his own in Hyde Park is still the highlight of any gig I've been to.

It's ok, you don't need Foo Fighters any more now Muse have covered them on their latest album.

What? It's not a cover? Don't be silly.

Unbelievable, even my 79 year old Dad could easily find out without resorting to posting "I don't even know who the Foo Fighers are".

Well I should probably rephrase it as I up until entering this thread I didn't know who the Foo Fighters were, now I am aware that they are a band.

It was mainly in reference to One More Solo's shock at someone having not heard them before that I phrased it so.

It was the song they hadn't heard of, not the band.
I also find it very hard to believe that somebody into chart music like yourself with Adele, U2, Arcade Fire & Mumford & Sons hasn't heard of the Foo Fighters.

Okay, well I picked up on that bit wrong :o

I wouldn't say I was into chart music, I rarely if ever listen to anything other than lyric fm and I'm wont to change the station when music like what's been posted comes on as I find it aggravating. What little I do listen to of chart music I've picked up randomly from sources other than radio, for example U2 from my father, Mumford & Sons from Stargate. I tend to be way behind when any 'next big thing' arrives.

Awesome song. Comes under the same umbrella as songs like "Say it ain't so" by Weezer. Regardless of your tastes in music you will probably have heard of it and probably like it.

Great song reminds me of good times so I never get tired of listening to it, their newer stuff doesn't really do much for me a few odd tracks are ok but can't really relate to them so don't hold any interest.

I can't really stand them live, its all just...shouty. I mean, I know its rock and roll and all that, but I honestly prefer their cds, and bands should sound better live, but they don't.

Agreed, kind of the opposite of Muse who are fairly mundane on cd but come alive when performing.

Never heard of this song.

I sort of skipped the rock phase all the kids at school went through. I remember getting the Limp Biscuit album on recommendation from a friend and just thinking it was utter dire, I took it back to the shop and bought the current Stereophonics album lol.
