The GTX670 seems to be the sweet spot between price/performance for Nvidia and I want Nvidia over AMD, even if it costs a bit more.

So which GTX670 is the best for price/performance?

Thanks.

My specs:
2500k @ 4.4
8 GB RAM
GTX 560ti 2GB
650W PSU
RES @ 1920 x 1080

Depends if you can put up with the reference cooler noise

Gigabyte and MSI are both good cards. If you happy with reference then the cheapest is the POV at £259.99

I run reference KFA2s and they have been spot on, especially putting them under water :)

I don't think I will get a reference , I would prefer to spend £300 + and have peace of mind that I have a good card.

MSI 670 PE is a very nice card and out of the box (no need to OC to get this) as fast as a stock 680. Though as others have commented, nothing wrong with the Gigabyte card either (or most of the other come to that). Pretty much "choose what you fancy" or "flip a coin".

Out of interest, why does the reference design have a short PCB and what are the advantages of a full sized one?

I believe it is to do with cramming the workings into a tighter space. With a full size PCB, it should help with overclocking but doubt on the 670 with the voltage lock, it does. You could have more power phases on a full size PCB but don't know if it does.

I'm curious as to why you need to stick to nVidia. With a GTX 670 you'll get less performance for more money, on a strictly price/performance ratio they're not too good. 7950s for example offer more performance for less money, seems like a no brainer for most!

Evga 670 ftw it's the best card if you ever want to go sli. I have three and even with no space to breathe there not what I call loud at all. My single 480 or 4870x2 was way louder, on its own it's almost silent and in 2x sli with a space in between there only just abit louder than my gentle typhoons.

All boost to 1250 on the core at +48 very good cards and also won't dump the extra heat into your case.

There 680 pcbs and coolers with 670 chips
