The Ferguson TX was my tv and monitor for the Spectrum and C64 due to its RGB in capability (DIN Socket)

When I saw this.. I had a sudden flash back of the one I got with the sega master system. I forgot all about it till then. :)

Why was everything on channel 36..?

I had a small ferguson 14" tv for my sms.
my brother had a big 28" one with wooden effect that the tube would go on if you play too much and and you had to beat the side of it for it to work again; but he had a snes.

This is the same as the beastly 14 inch Trinitron that I had when I was growing up, between the ages of 6 and 17 this beauty spent countless hours hooked up to one of my consoles. It even had carrying handles which was handy as my cousin used to bring the other portable down from the bedroom and we'd play Command & Conquer against each other on two Playstations using the link cable. They'd be faced back to back so we couldn't cheat. :D

OMG yes! I used to do that at one of my mates house, we'd bring his TV from his room to the living room, and we'd back-to-back them and play C&C! =D

Weren't there only like 3 games that actually supported the link cable, and 2 of them were only released in Japan or something stupid? :p

Did you get the hideous slow-down when you both had more than about 50 units built? :D

Back on topic - my mum had some big old Hitachi thing that cost a fortune when it was new, and it lasted a good 12 years or so!!

Haha! I feel sorry for some of the younger gamers, they don't know the fun they've missed! I'm only 24 myself but it's amazing how far consoles have come in such a short period of time. Yeah, we had the ridiculous slowdown, mainly when my cousin would challenge me to "run the gauntlet". This was where he had built his base inside a mountain area only accessible via a narrow ridge, he'd have a stupid amount of Mammoth Tanks all lined up inside there. :D

We used to leave Red Alert on overnight (obviously not telling our grandparents), build a crap load of Ore Silos and when we woke up in the morning we'd both have a huge amount of cash, good times! I also remember playing Micro Machines V3 with two people per controller, we didn't have the Multi Tap. :(

My grandparents chucked it out when we moved, ask your sister if she wants to sell hers to me... :D
