Hello. Im looking at buying a family member a small TV for christmas. We have a TV downstairs and a sky box. If they have a TV in there bedroom in order to change channels you need the 'eye' isn't it called? It also says ile need a coaxial cable but there is a cable in the bedroom in which we used to run this setup before just didn't have the ability to change sky channels and we had to just view the one channel that was on downstairs.

Will this work? I am a little unsure as it wasn't me who wired the cable and it was done along time ago when I was a wee lad! :D

Thanks

Even with magic eye, you can still only watch one show. What ever is on downstairs will also be on upstairs.
All magic eye does is allow you to change channel, it still chnages the channel on both TVs.

Thats ok. Theres only me and mum in the house and im usually using the TV in my room anyway. Im guessing even if the main TV with the box is turned off (box still on just TV off) you can change channels on the secondary TV?

Yep that's what the magic eye allows you to do.

Ok. Im just hoping the cable in the room that used to be plugged in to the TV to enable viewing is the correct one. It could be the aerial cable but then there was the option to watch one sky channel as well so it could be that. Ile have to to try it.
