Amazon Black Friday (week) sale!!!

Anyone have any decent info on the SSD? When it comes to SSDs I like to check out the pc perspective SSD decoder as they have a guy who focuses heavily on SSDs, but the M4 isn't listed there. I think I'll wait for a SSD I can find more info on before taking the plunge to SSDs.

Samsung led tv and chromebook both good prices.

And yes, M4 worth it. You wont see a 256gb ssd drive with that performance for that price for a long long time............

Bought for £100. :) Apart from the size difference, will I see any speed difference from my old Crucial M225 128GB?

Hmm, bought it. Still undecided but it seemed too good to pass up for the time being.

Am I right in thinking that SSD prices are rising again?

SSD's flew out, never had a chance.
I think this is a situation like the stock market. Investment firms pay millions to reduce the lag between their trading platforms and the LSE's servers to give themselves an edge.

In this case those closest, in electronic terms, to the Amazon servers get a few milliseconds head start, and I'm sure lots of us were just hovering over that buy button.

Missed the M4. Didnt stand a chance! They were claimed and the waiting list was full in like 2 seconds. Before the add to basket button was even visible!?

Should have bought it on Tuesday when i had it in my basket :(

Managed to get the M4 after waiting list. :o

So now I've bought both the V+ 200 and the M4... one of them will have to go when I get them!

More than anything its just down to how fast your browser updates to show the button. As somebody pointed out yesterday, Safari doesn't seem to be that instant at updating.

I'd stop worrying about the details. Yet to find someone who is disappointed by the switch to ssd for os anyway.

Anyone having trouble searching on Google Shopping? Mine isn't working...

It's not working properly for me.

Funny that, bought both my M4's on my mbp using Safari...

Admittedly my Virgin media connection has sorted its self out this week and seems to work nicely now which probably has more to do with it. And I have been buy button hovering for the 15 second countdown for the things really worth getting.

Mine seemed great last year. I remember getting a set of GHD's instantly. This year though it seems to count down and then theres a couple of seconds before the button appears.

Luckily i've not been after any of the high demand stuff.

Going to any SSD would be a performance increase, but there is a huge difference in SSD performance and what controllers they use, and the price doesn't often directly correlate to performance, so it's a good idea to actually check that the SSD is a good deal before just buying it for the sake of it being on offer.
