Hi guys

Which of these is better. the Auzen X-Fi Prelude or the new Creative Sound Blaster Z.

Had the Auzen X-Fi Prelude for a while now so i was thinking it might be time for a change,do you think its worth buying a Sound Blaster Z to replace the Auzen X-Fi Prelude

;)

I'd say the Prelude. I would be very surprised if the Z/Zx is better. If it were me though, I'd wait for reviews. So far there have been very little. The few people that have bought a Z have been impressed with it, and it seems a definite improvement over the Recon3D. Coming from a Prelude though, is a different story.

lol I know that feeling.

I have the creative Z and am very happy with it. But I am not sure it will be much of an upgrade for you.

Just hold onto it for another 6 months or so until you see what new sound cards are coming out. With hardware accelerated audio supposedly been brought back with windows 8 there might be better cards coming along.

Don't you just hate having to wait :D. But your right, think i will give it some more time and see what comes along later on

Thanks Mate

Hi

I never knew there where no drivers for Windows 8  and i was thinking about moving over to Windows 8 as well. Think i will hold off for now and see if they bring out any drivers for it.

.

There isn't much to gain from upgrading dedicated sound cards. Only reason I would upgrade my Audigy is to get an optical out and also the drivers aren't great on Windows 8. Even with custom ones.

Sound has been high quality for a long time tbh, tv's are catching up but we've had good sound for ages.
