Cobalt server is fine.. for now. And it also has the bonus of having less people that have bought/unlocked loads of stuff already. It made me laugh when I read that items you purchase are character bound. All those people that have forked out for stuff on the full servers now have to suffer the lag or move and start with nothing or buy it all again. Clever business model.

Game sounds really broken at the moment. And people were moaning about BF3 when it came out. At least it worked!

I am looking forwards to start playing it but as my patience is short, I think I will wait a few weeks before things have been fixed first.

It's a completely different scale of project though to be fair, far more comparable to launching a traditional MMO than a FPS. MMO's aren't renowned for having the most stable of launches in general.

youre really only looking at 1 server last night that was bad. The others worked fine. Dont roll on Miller and youll find a very playable game almost pitch perfect.

I wasn't on Miller and it was pretty appalling too, all the EU servers were High apart from Miller and another which where Very High. Really didn't enjoy playing last night so as first impressions go, it was pretty awful.

Cobalt, the server I changed to, was low population. Not had any lag on it, yet. When this game works it's a lot of fun.

I don't mind air being powerful vs ground tbh (and I'm using tanks mainly) makes having air cover essential for large groups of ground forces.

All air cover can do is nit-pick at targets.

In the last week of the beta, I was pretty much playing as an AA Max 60% of the time and in that time I could only manage to kill a few targets per hour.

Everything else, you would get their Armour/HP down to like 10/20% before they would fly away and duck behind something to repair.

Or they would just hover in-front of you while you point blank hit them full on and they just fly and hover like they don't care while they blast you to bits.

AA turrets are totally broken, their damage is so low while air units can just hover in-front of them and unload with their rocket pods and kill it.

Skyguards are a joke, I don't get why they think putting recoil on a mounted weapon was a good idea? That thing jerks like it was an infantry weapon. The ammo mag is too low for all the AA weapons, you gotta reload like 2-3 times or more.

Working in teams helps for sure, but that doesn't happen often.

Puzzles my mind on the logic in that.

I only have a single burster on my Max, but I saw a VS with double burster. Still trying to figure out how he got that, the double burster is a lot scarier for air than the single putput.

You can purchase the second burster in the "get weapons" screen for the Max. I believe it costs 750 certs or 1000 in-game money which is about £7.

I had a double buster unit in the Beta before and after the naff.

Before it was a true terror weapon after the Beta, it sucked and it still sucks, but at the moment it still better then the Skyguard. The damn thing uses too much ammo too quickly. If anything it needs a lot more Ammo.

This is the weird thing - MY TR Max didnt start with a burster, so when I purchsed one (Burster (left)) I just had the one... going to have to figure that out lol.

Been playing on Woodman all day - it's been fine

I was on Woodman from 10pm through to 11.59pm last night and it was fine as well. No lag in particular that I noticed - and I was in some huge battles.

Woodman is the server where many EU clans/communities are based.

The busy servers, both sides of the pond & way down in Oz are getting hit quite hard, even with the massive queues for the non-members.

Once the initial take up of the game settles down the servers will inevitably settle too.

There's always going to be lag, warping & crashes at the start as the beta can never test a system to it's fullest, when there's thousands more across the servers banging on the door to get in.

Lag/Warping will fix itself soon enough, my only real gripe is when you purchase an item in the store, you normally have to exit the game & then load back in to actually get the item. Not working as intended & a few people won't log out during the evening for fear of not getting back in. LOL
