Well hello,

Here you have my Touring, its only a wee engined one for now, its a 1.6 8v motor.

But it does have some upsides, mainly in the looks department after being decked and given some et20 wheels off an e38 7 series.

195 width tyres on the front 205 on the back, teeny bit of stretch, but i like it.

Only have time for a couple of pictures right now but may put some more up another time.

If you were at the opening and had a keen eye it was parked opposite the door.

See what you think :) Ciao!

Can't stand cars that are lowered like this, just looks ridiculous, like the suspension has just collapsed. And those kind of wheels with that kind of engine is rather... *thinks of polite word* daft.

I prefer them on an e38.....

Although that looks like a tidy e36 (bearing in mind its dark & wet! :D )

i dont know what to say... thats hardly extreme lowering

if youre that sensitive to it the title should have been a give away

You'd love e36coupe then, half the cars on there are silly 'stance' builds where the owners go out of their way to make the cars useless, bottom out all the time and have the contact patch of a bicycle tyre.

Taken photography pointers from Twoblacklines?

Dark car in the pitch black - Check.
Out of Focus - Check.
So far into the distance that detail becomes scarce - Check.

Got skills, right there.

Not out of focus, just iphone quality then reduced to a resolution the "guidelines" for this forum will actually allow.

Im loving the banter its creating already though. I accept the idea that its too low to be practical, but at the same time i do 2-300 miles a week with no issue, just have to be slightly more careful with it :)

As for the wheels being silly, i think they suit it, theyre only 16 inch which is about 2 inches smaller than the usualy barry spec wheels people put on these. Tyres are cheap in those sizes too! Always a bonus.

One day i will put a bigger engine in it though, this one has just hit 179,000 miles tonight! When i fall on a large amount of money or it fails mind, the last one i had (a 1992 316 saloon) i went for a 1.9 16v m44 (140bhp) with LPG and that went quite well. So many options though not sure if i will do the same again, toying with the idea of boost, always a bad but fun route to go haha.

Im used to not everyone enjoying my "taste" in cars though, i have a bit of a history with them by now... all sorts ranging from a diesel combo van running 22psi of boost to a 1972 landrover with a 200tdi from a disco in. That was rather nice, always regreted selling after so much work!

Here is a bigger (see if i get my wrist slapped) in the daylight picture, although on this one the front hadn't quite settled down so is taller than it is now.

If you like it then fair enough, but I think it's a shed.
The notion of dropping a bigger engine in it later is nonsensical though and I'd place money on the fact that it will never happen.

...rust on the front arches?
Maybe the goal is this look:

(not sure I see the point of the mole grips)

I'm afraid the car doesn't do much for me OP

Hurray more banter!

To Luke i say, that is of course your opinion, and you are allowed to have it, im no stranger to an engine change though, Off the top of my head i have had to do it as either a direct replacement or something more interesting to a, BMW 530d, BMW 316i, Corsa Combo B, Peugeot Partner, Landrover Discovery and a Landrover 88"

The reason for slamming over rust, is the rust is only cosmetic, there is a tiny bit by the number plate on the tailgate aswell, i dont have the equipment or skill to sort the paintwork out myself while i can do most other stuff.

Oh paddy, i love rat look, not with this one though ;)

I may have even been on the rat look stand at the Retro show at santa pod a few years back with the landrover. We won best stand at show :D
