OK here's the thing ,

This monitor is junk , There is a big problem with it when using display-port to get the 120hz .

Can be playing a game online or watching a movies or browsing the internet and BOOM !

NOT OPTIMUM MODE RECOMMENDED MODE 1920X1080 Display-Port . I get this all the time and can not find a way to fix the problem i check on the net and it would appear to be a hardware problem with in this model of monitor .

I got this monitor from overclockers on Jan 20/1/12 so not even a year old yet .

All so like to point out in the time of me getting the monitor until now I have changed my video cards from HD6950 to GTX670 and the problem is still the same .

I got on to Samsung and all there doing is giving me the run round and nothings getting done about replacing the monitor or fixing it . I've contacted them about ten times now about this and yet nothing is getting done for me .I feel very ripped off £500 pounds for a monitor that as 3 years warranty and is now pretty much broken .

The funny thing was I spoke to one guy he said ,Ill get some one to call you back four days later a woman calls me and says we can get the monitor picked up and repaired I was like OK so you don't do swap outs ? she said no we just do repair on this model of monitor hmmmm OK ,My hardware is in prefect condition and my biggest worry is sending it of and getting it back scratched up ,I have had this problem before on things that I had repaired . Any way I was told by her make sure to put lettering in side with the monitor telling them not damage it in any way "But why would I need to be telling them not to damage it in the first place" what they going to do use it as basket ball .

So I ask what now she said with in a three days you will get some packaging in the post put the monitor in the box and ring the number for pick-up . four week later still waiting for the packaging ,So just phoned them about twenty minutes ago and the guy said there is no record of my monitor on the computer then went on to say they do not send out any packaging or pick up the monitors I have to get my own packaging and send it my self ,

So why is there a 3 years warranty if they are not doing all the legwork ,

And why there telling making out to people that there is not a problem with the monitor when they no there are its all over the fricking net FFS .

Gibbo mentioned that Samsung has stopped manufacturing these 3D monitors, so I guess repairing is the only option now...

Yes but there giving me know option telling me that they will send me packaging and getting nothing four weeks later ,Then me phoning them to find out that i was not even on the computer in the first place and they wont send out packaging and wont pick-up the monitor that's still with in the three years that's my problem .

Overclockers must have some responsibility seeing as they are the retailer that sold the monitor in the first place ,lets say I went to a shop locally and picked up a monitor say curry's/PCworld with in the first year its down to them to sort out the problems by law after that year is over its carried over to the manufacturer ,

But looks like i am stuffed by overclockers and samsung with a £500 pound monitor that is broken .

Look like this is going to have to go to trading standards about it because i dont see why i should lose out .

Samsung are being really retarded about this dp issue. Everyone is having the same problem, I can't believe that they are brushing you of.

Yes I even asked them if they could exchange for another model and ill pay what ever the cost would be, And they turn round and said no we cant do that .The only time from what I can tell is that they do exchanges is after five swap outs or repairs .

So I am left now with a bad taste in my mouth and think ill never buy another samsung monitor .

I occasionally have this issue and my Displayport stopped functioning completely ten or so days ago. Getting it fixed was no problem though, logged into mysamsung, registered my monitor, submitted a service ticket they got back to me and arranged to have it picked up on friday and sent off for repair. Got it back today, displayport is fixed and there is not a mark on the monitor.

I have the 23" version of this monitor, and I get the same issue. Although it only seems to happen when browsing the net. It's never happened in game.
