I'm amazed at the maturity here. The same question on WPCentral would have brought all sorts of crap comments about android (but they deny being fanboys) :D

After nearly 2 years of S2 ownership I had ££ invested in Android and it was effecting my decision on what phone to get next. I was actively looking to ditch Android as I've had enough of it, but didn't want to throw away all the apps & games I'd bought. Games my kid's play on a regular basis. So I bought a Nexus 7.

They're happy playing games on it, I can use it for satnav if need be (CoPilot) and it's freed me up to go with WP8.

Damn it i cant make my mind up between this and the Nexus4, sell it to me guys, why should i go for this from an i4S?

Nobody can answer that for you.

But Android is more for people who like to mess around with computers all day and night, customising and using it for the sake of changing something.

I prefer to just use something, I don't have the time to fix problems.

Thanks guys, the obvious but sensible answers looking back on it. I went from Android to iPhone as i just wanted something that worked, yeah android has many features that put it above iOS but i never got a sense of integration and quality like you get with Apple.

If anything im hoping the Lumia offers me the best of both worlds if that makes sense, i shall try one out :)

Got my phone changed today. Hassle free, very pleased with the customer service from P4U.
Let's hope there are no lock ups with this one.

Edit: After doing 2 restores now a could things that are annoying. It doesn't restore how my tiles to how they were organised, so I spent 20mins sorting that out. It also doesn't resync pictures well. Those that were saved on the phone become just another skydrive folder. So they all need redownloading. Other than that everything else was great.

I've never had an iPhone so can't compare, but for several months I've felt the same way about Android as you. After the honeymoon period of having something new (I came from Windows Mobile devices) it started to feel messy, complicated, prone to crashing and somewhat 'disconnected' from what I wanted a Smartphone to do.

I'm hoping WP8 can provide me what I need. I've used my wife's LG-E900 and I like WP7, so I have high hopes.

yeh I wanted to use my debit card but thought I would use my AMEX for the airmiles. it said it was declined, then got an email AND text msg from AMEX, which I rang and it was about the fraud, they confirmed a few things and all was ok. Then I placed the order again and all good. :) happy with that.

My case arrived today!

The faint writing/brand is nearly invisible. On it's own, it feels flimsy but when attached to the phone, it protects the corners BUT not obtrusive. It's sand blast finished so it has a rough matt feel. Very professionally finished, matching the original black.

Love it. Phone is no longer smooth and worryingly slippy and my corners are 'protected' if dropped, the case will take the brunt like my other similar case for Lumia 800.

Note: it doesn't come up any higher than the screen, so if the screen side falls flat first, the screen takes the brunt.

Looks similar to what I ordered Mr. Jones. Still waiting for mine to arrive.

Does anyone know how to hide the keyboard?

how long did it take for the case to arrive?

A word of warning if you buy from Clove. It seems obvious they get their phones from somewhere in the EU as these are unlocked. To make it easy for us they open the box and swap the AC wall adapter for a UK one. It was obvious with mine as it says "Designed by Apple in California". Now to the issue. When I started charging my phone it became completely unesponsive, I couldn't even swap to unlock from the lockscreen. Unplugging the phone would fix the issue. Tried a few more times with the same result. I ended up plugging the cable on my PC and it was totally fine. If you experience the same thing with a Clove 920, look for another charger or wall adapter.

well they should state that. they didnt. so can be taken to consumer act/watchdog/trading standards

so many companies acting like this (if what you say about clove is true). A few users have their white ones from clove but nothing like this stated...

Swapping for an Apple one is daft. I don't see why they don't ship with an adaptor. I'd sooner have that than an Apple USB charger.

Guys, can I ask if there is an option to enable the compass mode for Nokia maps to rotate or show the direction you're facing like in Google maps?

I find this option pretty useful when I was on android, I know you can do this in gMaps app.
