I won an auction on ebay for some pop music concert tickets. I haven't paid for them yet, do I need the credit card used to pay for them or is just the piece of paper ok ?

Any eTickets i have got ive just took the paper bit with me and never been asked for proof of purchase or anything

Most events I've been at that use eTickets you don't even really need the paper just the code they give you.

Its probably not at all relevant here, but I've been to a couple of gigs where they now don't issue you tickets at all, you just present the credit card you paid with, its scanned to check and then they let you in.

Its obviously to stop people selling tickets on and touting, wouldn't surprise me if it becomes more popular.

Bit rubbish if your credit card expires, you have it lost or stolen or you want to buy tickets as a present. I sold tickets once and sent them my card as it had expired ( I think I'd completly cancelled my account) nothing bad happened.

My sister was worried about that, as last gig I went to at the O2, she had purchased the tickets a year and a half before and couldn't even remember which card she used.

I would think that they must be prepared for such a situation and can check.
