Hitman Absolution Pre-Order.

Certainlly both ways aren't perfect, but I think if you had a perfect system in any game it would either be very easy or very hard, or worse - not fun!

(AKA 1 shot kills in FPS game).

No game can win in this day & age if they change things they get slated for not staying true to the franchise/last game but if they don't change much they get slated for not being innovative enough!
Both this game & Xcom have IMO both been great additions too their franchises (god I hate that term) that respected what has come before without feeling stagnant in today's market & both have been unfairly criticized for not staying true to their ancestors, If you love the old versions no one is stopping you playing them! the same way no one is forcing you to play the newer games.

No. Hitman Absolution throws everything that made the Hitman games unique out of the window and we have ended up with the ******* child of Splinter Cell Conviction and Assassins Creed. What is stagnant, is the amount of games that try to be each other so you are left with a pile of quick time event, third person cover based dross.

Sorry I don't agree with you & like I said if you don't like it you still have blood money, personally I played through blood money recently & I'm fairly happy with the new game which I feel made changes that were needed the old disguise system does not feel realistic & made that game too easy once you had the right disguise you could wonder around with impunity pretty much.

This, the movement in absolution is a lot better and more fluid as well

Have you actually played either of the games you are comparing this too? because I really don't see the parallels in this game to those, maybe you could point out the bits that are the same or similar, personally I think it's on par with comparing Skyrim to Pacman.

The only element it has from splinter cell is the execution thing which you don't even have to use, IIRC you get forced to use it once at the start of the game, and there is no similarity to assassins creed at all

Just wondering if you're going to continue complaining about the game here or are actually going to contribute at all?

Not asking this is a dickish way, just wondering :)

So is the best way to use Instinct... let's use the beginning of that section of "Run for your Life" as an example... I'm in a cop's uniform, there's a single cop about to walk into the room...

As soon as I spot him about to come in, I press and hold Instinct and walk past him, holding it all the time until I'm completely clear of him?

Because I'm sure I've tried that a few times and even in the middle of Instinct mode I suddenly hear "Hey, buddy! Hey, you, come here a sec...", and it's as good as over.

Well i finished the main game today & i really liked it, played every hitman game when they came out and whilst a little lacking in places overall this is great game, now to go back and do all the challenges.

I think a number of people are looking through the old rose tint when they hold the old games up, as clearly hitman through to Blood Money had a sea of issues that they would get hammered for today.

I would say its a buy, however if your still on the fence then the steam xmas sale is not to far off, pick it up then,

Lets start enjoying gaming again, not just picking up on any fault you feel, then spout it kills a game off. As a long time Hitman fan im glad 47 is back and things i hope can only get better.

Also contracts is a great idea

ye contracts is a great idea.

its a shame the levels let it down though.

their way 2 small which makes it incredibly repetitive.

I like the missions in Hope!

I think I managed to make all 3 of the first ones look like accidents, though Tbh with the narrative of this game, there isn't really a need to do that. Just one question -

Does anyone know if the gas explosion counts as an accident?.... It isn't made clear

This games weird performance wise, In a police station with a couple of desks and cops my fps drops to 40 which is odd yet outside with more npcs, objects it doesn't drop below 60. Weird.

Sorry if my opinion isnt the same as yours but i have every right to voice my opinion and discuss the game. Same as everyone else on here.

I am still playing it and i really want to like it. It does have its plus points. Its one of the best looking games released in my opinion. Beautiful ( and it runs very well as well). The gunplay is good. Guns feel like guns unlike a lot of games.

It is just so dissapointing that the staples of a Hitman game have been removed and in my opinion it is clear to see they have stolen/used mechanics from a plethora of other titles.
