Amazon Black Friday (week) sale!!!

What is there to "embarass" yourself over

I'm not a camera expert, just feel was mislead by Amazon.
Im not either, but looking at the Black Friday link in isolation, other than the product photo (which as Ive advised is never taken as 100% accurate) the information it provides to what you are buying is accurate.

If you think you can make a pertinent case - go ahead and ring Amazon/TS, but as I said youll end up just being like one of those people that end up shouting to get their own way in a shop rather than actually being in the right.

If you arent happy with the item you can always use DSR - which is why its there in the first place. Realistically you are pretty well protected and its really your perception (and others in those reviews) have just made 2+2=5.

Im not trying to be harsh, but you asked for an opinion, Ive tried to offer you mine and the basis behind it. Good Luck!

Fair enough, i still think Amazon have done it intentionally, to cause confusion.

Not really.

Not really.

Doesn't matter :p

I have Batman Begins on DVD and The Dark Knight on both DVD and blu ray. I am then buying the trilogy on blu ray. I know I am nuts :p

I've actually bought and cancelled it.

I haven't seen the first 2 in about 10 years and don't have the urge to so I rather have the £13 in my bank account.

Oh come on, hardly similar. The sole picture on the page with a camera advertised with a lens is hardly similar to those!

By the "new ipad" do you mean the newest one? As the one at 360 is the 3rd gen one not the latest.

The 3rd gen is reduced down to £330 and the latest is £360. Just part of their Black Friday deal :)

Get quidco on top ad it works out about £340 for the brand new version.

Amazon do it all the time. They did it last year on the Avatar Bluray. They placed pictures of a collectors book + had the book clearly labelled in the title and description. No one received the book.

If they labeled it wrong they are usually very good to apologise about their mistakes. Not a 100% accurate photo however...no, that's just wrong.

I thought I was being blunt, then I saw your reply - I feel slightly better now :)

@Craterloads - Im sure the 15minute time frame doesnt help, but with a bit of research (didnt take me long to suss out what was being sold) it was an easy mistake to avoid.

Considering the Black Friday deals as a whole do you not think Amazon have been intentionally trying to offload tat at made up discount prices to 'confused' customers?

lol, may be I am getting clued up on online shopping after years of it (been using Amazon for longer than most) or just too cynical these days, I read carefully what I buy. i.e. I make sure I am buying the Bluray and not DVD version. I am buying X-box 360 and not PS3 (I do not own a PS3). The lens is a Canon mount and not Nikon mount. etc etc.

Read camera model code carefully, and don't buy things on Amazon Black Friday on a whim. My motto is that if its not something you wanted before today, don't buy it no matter how cheap. You are wasting money.

Unless of course there is money to be made - GHD's :D
