Have you ever been fooled by a sales man?

I don't buy things ever... *hides*

Paid £20 more than I should have for a tv once, but then again I couldn't be bothered to wait for it to turn up off the internets.
 
No but I was fooled by a sales woman, she knocked on my Flat door and when I opened it I was exposed to the hottest woman I had seen in front of me for my entire life thus far (37 now), she must have been late teens early twenties. She was in a smart dress suit unbuttoned at the top blouse, exposing ample cleavage with a smile that said 'She wanted it and that I want what she is selling'... I probably would have too if the wife hadn't been home and followed me to the door saying 'No we're not interested' followed by pushing the door closed...
 
I have, promised the earth then the company went bust leaving me paying for a telephone system over the next 5 years which was supposed to include servicing and all repairs.
 
I have returned from the shop and got my money back.. they said that they were sorry for one of there staff telling false information and that he has done this more than once..

Anyway that me never listening to a sales man ever again in till they have proof
 
I remember when my parents were buying a new TV for the living room. The salesman managed to sell them a couple of Monster cables to go with the TV :( I think I threw up in my mouth when I heard :p

Glad you got it sorted. As a general rule, it's good to be cynical as Hell around salesmen. They'll say anything to bag a sale.
 
Sales people exist solely to fool you into buying crap that you just don't need,

I never listen to them, ask their advice or well, anything in general lol
 
When I bought my Ray Ban sunglasses, I was told that the cleaning cloth provided would affect the coating on the glasses and as such, I should buy a care kit with a microfibre and alcohol solution.

I was also told the solution could be refilled at any Sunglass hut store however it seems concessions are not included in this which I wasn't told. When I e-mailed sunglasses hut, they were total *****s about it. And me being busy with uni, decided to call it a £5 loss and never buy from them again.

£160 glasses and they couldn't even send me a refill in the post. When it's free in their flaming stores.
 
Once one tried to sell me a £100 HDMI cable claiming that the one that came with the blu ray player was "crap" and that I "needed" a "decent quality cable if I wanted to watch blu rays at their max". I Laughed in his face.

lol - hifi stores have been doing that for years with cables... you could see how it was semi-believable with interconnects and speaker cables - its a bit farcical with digital cables, HDMI, USB.... IIRC there is even a ridiculously expensive kettle lead type power cable on the market
