Funny little title eh lol

Anyways, I've just picked up a nice little GTX 480, I know the rep these cards have for being noisy and hot so I'm planning on watercooling it.

In my case (MM H2Go) I already have a cpu loop with a 240 rad, but i was planning on the 480 having it's own loop, so I have space for another 240 rad, the only one I've got laying about is an oldish Thermochill PA 240, Fans are either going to be Gelid Silent 12's or some 120mm Fractal designs, would the rad be sufficient to cool this beast?

I think it should be, once i source one the block is going to be an EK something, probably the Nickel Acetal one.

Any opinions?

Seen a few blocks on the MM recently ;)

Single 240 will be fine, iirc even under water GTX480 temps can spike higher then the normal range of ~40c upwards towards ~60c so don't be worried if the temps seem a little out of place.

mhmm thanks Pgi

All the blocks seem to have sold, or come attached to cards :(
Will have to run it at stock for now lol

:p

Just keep an eye out, not many want to buy a card + block, odds are the seller may re-fit the stock cooler to make a sale leaving the block spare. I'll keep a look out for you :)

Still get some quite special performance from these cards.

So did I until I saw it was the only thing for sale and recently bumped :p

Fish out the instruction pdf from ek, will tell you what thermal pads are required :)
