Steam Autumn Sale Starting November 21st?

Found good ol' Fleet Command on the sale as part of a £4.99 pack. Didn't even know Steam were distributing it.

Never has firing volley after volley of Harpoons at the French and Germans been more fun. Indeed there were so many missiles and jets flying around the English Channel it crashed the game. :D

"Non, je ne regrette rien." Or something like that.

Torchlight 2 worth a purchase? Considering orcs must die 2 too people's opinions?
Is torchlight like Diablo and all that dungeon loot game or? Not a big fan of those soo

Yeah torchlight is like diablo, tonnes of loot and dungeons etc.

Orcs must die 1 was fantastic and 2 is supposed to be better so that got my purchase straight away :p kind of a tower defense game, but you then control a charater for a 3rd person "shooter" very good fun and really comical

Cut and pasted this from another website. Works a treat and was exactly what I needed.

First of all, you’ll need to be in the Steam beta. To get there you need to run Steam, click on the file menu option Steam, then pick Settings. In there, you’ll see “CHANGE…” under “Beta participation”. Click on that, and opt into the beta. It’ll automatically restart, but when it’s done you’ll want to quit out completely.

Now you need to add a switch to the Steam shortcut. So find the icon, Start menu option or whatever shortcut you use to load it, right click on it, and choose Properties. In there you’ll see the path it loads from looking something like this:

C:\Steam\Steam.exe

You want to add “-dev” to it, after a space, so it looks like this:

C:\Steam\Steam.exe -dev

Run that, and now you’ll see an extra page option, on the right after NEWS, called CONSOLE. Click on that one, and then type the following into the text field:

install_folder_ui

Hit return.

Choose “Add install folder”, and pick another place where you’d like to install Steam games. And you’re done!

does that mean multiple drives/partitions for one steam installation then ?

as otherwise I thought you could just cut and paste whole steam directory anywhere you like :) ? seems easier

just I'm a bit short on my current partition and would be a lot easier adding another one to it rather than trying to resize it - ie the steam installs acrossmore than one drive/

That's right. you can leave Steam on 1 drive and then install the games to multiple drives if you wish rather than keep them all together.

The last command doesn't work. I get the following error message in the console:

>>> command not found: install_folder_ui

Any ideas?

Afraid not mate, it worked for me first time when I tried it the other day.

I take it it is running in dev mode. The -dev command goes in the target box when yo open the shortcut properties. Mine looks like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -dev
