I don't expect it to come with 5 fans but do they come with 5 temperature probes or do you always have to buy these separately?

Argh! I ordered a black one :p

But assume current stock isn't applicable to the offer of the lower price and thats down for a different batch? I did get an email a week or 2 after telling me I could cancel if I wanted to, but ignored it as I plan to get the controller, and figured the price was worth a wait as it wasn't urgent :)
 
How do you set one of these up, as I have never used a fan controller before?

Does it give you readouts for all fans, e.t.c CPU/GPU/Chassis/Mobo ?

Windows 8 Compatible?

the black ones should be shipping.

the price has changed as the pre order was limited.

i have been informed by our warehouse team that the white ones are actually here.

it is operated by a browser window.

so will work on smart phones, computers, laptops, anything on your network with a browser :cool:
 
Do they make a silver one?

If not, would it be easy to remove the facia for spraying silver? Or is it glued in place?

Il answer some questions above.

@picnic - The recon comes with 7 temperature probes, you get two spare in-case you break any, but it does not come with any fans (it does have 5 fan extension cabled however)

@kitkat9933 - The read-outs come from the afore mentioned temp probes. YOu place these wherever you want a read-out from. The controler itself doesnt rely on a OS as such, all of work is done by the controler itself. The recon software, as mentioned above is just an IE window. Wheter its IE10 compatable or not i cannot say fopr sure however.

@bledd. - They only do black and white. I have removed the facia on the black one and wrapped it in carbon white vinyl. It IS possible, but its rather fiddly. IIRC there ware 2 screws and 2 ribon cables, but the unit only goes back together one way and the touch sensetive plastic is seperate from the LCD itself and is glued in place, you need to re-allign this just right for the buttoins to work as expected. All in all, definatly possible, but a little risky.
 
Oh, so there is nothing hardwired into the controller except the USB and power. So it controls everything through the Mobo?

Can you change fan speeds from the touchscreen?

Edit: Can you control the CPU and GPU fans from it?

You can control CPU fans, if the CPU fan is a 3 pin fan wired up to the controller, GPU fans, you can't, unless you have some passive cooler with a case fan blowing cold ait on it, in which case you would/could control that fan.
 
yay my white one shipped, only had it pre-ordered about 6 weeks :D

@mikedigitales - The recon cant control a fan for graphics card, i mean, i guess it could assuming you butchered the fan connector on the GPU and wired it into the recon and then wired a temp probs to the card somewhere, but whats the point?
