alright people,

Work Xmas doo comming up and its a black tie job/dinnerjacket waistcoat, but I dont really own a proper dinner suit, only boring ones.

Anyone know a good suit rental spot in London? Dont fancy spending a lot of money buying one knowing ill only wear it once maybe twice a year.
 
I'd look on auction sites - there's lots of evening suits for sale, it's probably not much dearer than hiring one if you shop around.
 
Not sure about that really mate, im gonna wanna try it on and get a proper fitted one.

Why not just use Google or the Yellow Pages and find the closest suit hire to where you live or work in London (its quite a big place).

At the end of the day, any suit hire shop is going to measure you to find the right size that fits you best. You aren't buying a designer dinner jacket or having a bespoke one made, further to that dinner jackets are traditional so tend to look the same. So I'm not really sure why you need a recommendation, just find a shop near you.

Figured if someone had previous experience with this and it went well I would like the same treatment. Plus GD's responses are more appealing to me than Google :cool:
 
There's literally a chain of different suit shops near London Liverpool Street Station, try them all. Usually they all offer formal hire of some sort this time of the year.

Failing that M&S usually launch a fair good offer for formal wear around this time as well :)
