http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-198-EA&tool=3

Can i run the latest games at max settings?

Current setup:
asus 24" ve247h 1920x1080
gigabyte z77 d3h mobo
i3570k @3.4 (stock atm - oc'ing soon)
8gb corsair vengeance memory 1600
corsair tx550 psu
intel 330 series 120gb ssd

I appreciate how the amd cards **** all over this, expecially overclocked but i don't want an AMD card thankyou.

and is this card decent enough for the forseeable future? Thanks again

The 660Ti will struggle on the more demanding games.

A 7950 is a better option as it is simply more performance for the same money.

(unless you're locked to nVidia)

The GTX 660 Ti doesn't struggle at all.

You will have fantastic performance it Borderlands 2 and Skyrim, I can't comment on the other games you play however.

I said demanding games - B2 and Skyrim aren't demanding games in the slightest.

I said it struggles in demanding games. Which it does. I mean it performs... "OK" but not 7950 standard. And the 7950 is the same money or cheaper.

Why would anyone buy a worse card for more/same money with a blank slate?

(that's rhetorical)

OP doesn't want an AMD card anyway so it doesn't matter :). But it still needed to be pointed out just how much better value for money the AMD cards provide.

I have asked you many times Rusty, which are these demanding games you keep talking about?

No you haven't asked me many times you've asked me once and I replied to you and then you said you don't have any of those games.

You can't comment saying it's fine at 1080p and handles demanding games when you don't own any. That's just a little bit stupid isn't it?

Oh please please Rusty please tell me what your demanding games are, I beg of you, share your wisdom.

Far Cry 3, Hitman Absolution etc I think.

The point is not that the GTX660Ti are "slow" cards, but more about the 7950 deliver better performance at a lower price. Also with GTX660Ti's 192-bit memory bus comparing to 7950's 384-bit memory bus, its performance could deteriorate quite quickly at higher AA or resolution.

OP doesn't want an ATi card.

I recommended a GTX 670 in my first post that costs the same as the currently overpriced GTX 660 Ti.

I suggest you look back on the other thread where you asked me, and replied to me when I responded. Or have you got a problem with your memory?

Please stop de-railing threads where anyone dares to suggest what rubbish value for money the 660Ti provides. You got stung for a pretty poor card for the money you paid. There's no need to go over 10 pages of purchase justification each time though like the other thread.

And you said - don't worry it doesn't matter.

The GTX 660 Ti plays the Witcher 2 perfectly on Ultra with everything on but Ubersampling.

Please stop de-railing threads where anyone dares to suggest that they would like an nVidia card over ATi. You got stung for pretty poor cards for the money you paid, and lost on selling your GTX 680's There's no need to go over 10 pages of purchase justification each time though like the other thread

Rusty please start reading OPs posts and take your fanboyism elsewhere

Yeah, i appreciate the heads up there. In terms of evga or gainward or any other, are vendors pretty irrelevent when choosing cards? Are you just purely looking what offers better value or do some vendors have a better track record so to speak...

I left my recommendation and then who responded to who? Why do you feel the need to respond to every negative 660Ti comment? You got laughed off the other thread and now you're starting again.

SkodaMart starting off on yet more 660Ti purchase justification.

What you mean for cheaper than you paid for your 660Ti I got a vastly superior card which is faster in every scenario? Yes, I got stung alright :D.

I did indeed lose on the sell up of my 680s over what I paid but that's kind of what happens when you sell something second hand no?

Pot... kettle... I suppose being called an AMD fanboy is a new one for me :D :D

I am very pleased with my GTX 660 Ti, I am currently playing Batman, Borderlands 2, The Witcher 2 and World of Tanks.
I have also played Skyrim and it handles all these games perfectly at 1080p.

I would personally have got a GTX 670 over the GTX 660 Ti if they had been the same price at the time of purchase.

I don't really have a personal preference for vendors and EVGA has a good reputation and a great warranty.

That Gainward card I linked was just cheap.
