Been reading the latest news from US and it seems google has completely mucked up this launch of the latest stock, they are releasing it as Pre-order stock thus people are able to buy the phone but then being told to wait 3-4 weeks for it to ship.. very naughty:eek:

The latest news is that the UK wont get any new stock now untill AFTER christmass.

So myself and im sure many others who hoped to get one for christmass im afraid we going to need to rethink present ideas:mad:

Also some reports are suggesting some very inconsiderate people are buying more than 20 units of the phone,certainly for profiteering...they should have restricted no more than 1 per customer would have been a much fairer approach (amazon did same for their released paperwhite and fire i believe)
 
It was luck, not early rising that got people phones from the first batch.

Google has totally messed this up, as expected.
 
You wouldn't believe how angry I am at Google for screwing up the launch SO badly.

It wouldn't matter if they didn't undercut everyone else on the market and promised us a big NOTHING in the end.

Now my contract has run its life and I cannot update without feeling guilty one way or another.

This. I was there as the ordering went live, and after numerous timeouts I got one in the basket. Got as far as confirming all my details.. hit place order and BAM - errors.

Really disappointed with the way Google has handled this. It's making the iPhone5 look even more tempting (despite having used Android since 1.5, and being an Android developer!).

I don't see whats wrong with a good book and some decent socks. Maybe a Terrys orange if you've been good. I love the latest gadget as much as the next person, but I don't understand the "Have to have it by Xmas" mindset tbh.
 
How dare Google release a phone with such an attractive price, causing it to sell out instantly. Despicable. They've RUINED "CHRISTMASS" FOREVER!
 
The only thing the poor launch has done is made me lose interest in the Nexus 4. I was there on launch day with everyone else, trying to order one, but since that failed I've gone back to appreciating my S2 for the superb phone it is; I'm inclined to just keep it for another 6 months or so now.

Ditto, having stock issues with tech is stupid. If you make the customers wait the tech will be old and represent less value for money than when it was first released. Also with CES in January the nexus 4 could look old hat very quickly.

You would think with LG struggling to make inroads into this market they would be throwing phones at Google, obviously not.
