Had my despatch email for Mario from Zavvi, so only the console left to send.

Bit concerned because the email says expected delivery for Mario is 3rd December.

Same here but with my console. Hopefully it will come on Friday as I've booked the day off.

Nope, on my credit card and the order details say it should be going to Birmingham, but the tracking seems to be to Stoke. Ah wells not much I can do now, just a little annoying to be missing out on the launch day goodness!

Saying that I've been playing with WiiU's for a while at work so they aren't anything new

The console is coming by DPD, and has a tracking number, so I assume its coming next day so should arrive on Friday.

Reports apparently coming out this evening of some people who got the £200 deal from Amazon are getting their orders cancelled. Fingers cross, mine says dispatching soon.

Early verdict is good on Nintendoland. Plays well even though I'm only doing single player and multi looks like it'll be a right laugh

And thoughts on the new controller?

I would hope they bring out high def version of stuff like Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, surely an easy port for an easy couple of AAA titles, not having to use the horrendous wiimote and nunchuck.

They would still use the wiimote and nunchuck

I really liked using the Wii mote/chuck combo in Galaxy, I found it really comfortable and not any harder than a 'normal' controller.
Im glad its still such a big part of Wii U its nice not to have to fork out on extra controllers when I already have motes,classic controllers and Nunchucks.

You have to adjust to it at first but it's very comfy to use and quickly makes sense

Wii U definitely coming tomorrow via Zavvi...looks like ShopTo despite the email for despatch preparation *but not despatched* will come Friday!

Oh well means the Zavvi one gets opened tomorrow with Nintendoland!

dear lord. when ever i read something about this console i want one but i know its just shiny tech syndrome -_- zombieU looks good. In all ways. think ill just have to wait till more games come out. i know as soon as i touch one ill want one :/

Wait until Rayman Legends and Pikmin 3 are out before jumping in, that's what I'm doing at least, I know if I got one now I'd complete New Super Mario Bros U pretty quickly and then have nothing else to play since I'm not interested in Zombi U and most of the other launch games are better/the same on my PS3 or PC.
