Egyptian cotton is more comfortable than silk unless you're in a 1980's lite-metal music video in which case go for it.

Silky feels good, but they keep me awake all night because they keep zinging off the bed and taking the blankets with them. So, cotton for me.

Cotton all the way. Silk sheets WAY too slippery. Plus, cotton warms up quicker without me slipping off it when the missus decides to play bed area Risk.
