Definitely. I've got the lens and while it isn't the fastest in my collection, it's VERY nice :) I might use my day off work tomorrow as an excuse to take photos of random things :D
 
Ok, so I really didnt plan on buying a macro lens ANY time soon. Or spending any more money AT ALL.... If anything I wanted something cheap like an 85mm 1.8 for xmas or to save for a 70-200 F2.8 ....but this was just too cheap!!

ORDERED!! This is going to take some fantastic images! I rented the 100mm non L once, but this is going to be immense on the mk3! And if I dont like it Im SURE i can sell it for £500 after xmas!

Yea I figure, I knew the ******* price (which is my go-to "rock bottom") from memory. As soon as the page loaded and I saw £470 and cash back, my mind was made up.

This week I looking at the MFD of various 50mm and 85mm primes and was severely disappointed. Feel like getting closer some times, and this has got to be the best tool for that. Also felt like I was lacking a bit of range since the move to FF and the 24-70mm so this may help there.

Excited. But also concerned whether they will honor it, because it is literally THAT good of a price. Stock status was "In stock but may require up to 2 additional days to deliver." I selected "first class" delivery - Ill keep you guys posted if I get any dispatch news/
 
There were already quite a few 100mm L owners on here, now its going to be about as common as a nifty fifty!

This deal will no doubt affect the second hand market in the short term; but Im hoping I fall in love with it and dont have to worry about that! I feel a 100mm L photos thread coming!
 
My mind is racing. Have wanted a macro for ageeess. I really wanna get some killer shots of eyes with this. I need to make contact with some makeup artists right now....!!
 
They are not a problem round here, I still can't believe a bargain like this is going to come to my door! I was on nights last night but had to get up to check my email in case it got cancelled.

2 of these costs £940. £125 cashback from canon. So ends up costing £815.
Selling one on ebay for £550. Subtract £55 eBay Fees (10%), £20 PayPal fees (3.4%), £5 recorded postage (item weighs ~700g). That leaves you with £470 in your pocket.

Either way, if there is an influx of these lens on the bay, they hold their value very well. I brought my 17-40mm almost 2 years ago for £420 2nd hand and they still go at that price.

I've just ordered a 5DMKiii with the 24mm-105mm L.

Excited isn't the word. I'm coming from a 400D with kit lens, so it's only a modest step up. :D

Some point at like 00:30 this morning. Paid for "first class" post but also seems Im getting City Link. It says to expect it Tuesday but tbh Im expecting it tomorrow if it's City Link.

...Just a (funny) thought; imagine if we all get delivered the non-L. I honestly would laugh my arse off.
