Where do u draw the line though ? As soon as I heard the rumour it would be after Xmas I stumped the cash. The op clearly wants one.

Well when the extra works out at 30% more than Google play then I think its a fair line to draw.

Well you can always buy in bulk like I did and sell to the mugs on eBay. I off set mine. By IMO its worth it. Yeah everyone likes a bargain, wow Google dropped the ball on this one. For me £100 at the min is not much to me. But when the Mrs finishes work to look after baby it will be

When the time comes to sell it the price will crazy low as everyone will think 'hey this phone was 280 new' :-)

tbh i can wait! Even if it was in stock im still unsure if i would get it :-)

Don't know much about the Nexus 4, but first time looking into it CPW want £389 sim free but buy from Google Play and its £239?!

Its actually £289 as they charge £10 for delivery which is non optional.

To me the phone is worth £389 as i was expecting it to cost that anyway as were a lot of people, so unless you're planning on selling anytime soon the resale value is irrelevant.

Just stump up the extra (if you can afford to) , buy the handset from CPW / O2 and carry on with life, with a smile

or wait a month/two and carry on with life with a smile for now and smile even harder then

really its your choice you can't blame people for waiting you can't blame people for paying extra.. end of the day its their money and they can do w/e they want with it!

Not disagreeing with any of this, butthe point still stands that if (and not everyont wants to or can afford to) you can get it now without any impact on your life then go for it and be happy that you got a superb phone at a price that YOU are happy to pay. What someone else is happy to pay is irrelevant.

You would think with LG struggling to make inroads into this market they would be throwing phones at Google, obviously not.

I could actually forgive the stock issues if Google had just been more open and honest about the complete mess they made of the launch, their failure to correctly gauge public demand for it and the way they've handled orders and interested customers since. They've said nothing and done nothing since then, all we've had are rumours and contradictory statements from customer services personnel. There's nothing to suggest that when stock becomes available in the UK again, it won't just be a repeat of launch day.
