Bought this case at the end of last week and noticed it hasn't really helped with my temps. My old case was a small no frills Asus TA-K51 so i thought moving to my new case would at least drop temps a little but apart from idle temps being lower, my cpu is still hitting 60c when gaming which i'm not pleased with.

My setup at the moment which is all stock fans that came with the case is 2 x 120m front intakes, 200m side intake and a 120m rear exhaust. I've added a shadow wings 120m top exhaust too and using stock cpu cooler untill my hyper 212 evo arrives (should have been today)

Should i move these around or will the Hyper drop those temps on its own once its fitted?

Thanks :)

Edit: Forgot to mention, the cpu is a Phenom 965 at stock settings.

I'm guessing you have adjusted the front intake fan speeds? More than likely, replacing the stock cpu cooler will help matters

Thanks for the replies and my cpu coolers been delayed for some reason so haven't been able to try it yet.

The front and side fans are plugged into the fan controller which i leave on low until i start a game and then it gets switched to high.

These stock fans dont seem to push more air though, compared to my shadow wings they feel very gentle against the hand lol

I have this case, and I also have 2 extra 120mm fans place behind the 2 front intakes, this is where those long screws come in handy, so front intake = 2x2 2 top fans, exhaust directly above the cpu, and the other set as intake like this ^ v along with ny Noctua cooler Idle temps are a tiny 19c

I never thought of having the top like that, i might get another shadow wings to place next to my exhaust as an intake then.

Are you using all stock fans apart from the extra ones you've added?

My cooler still hasn't arrived either but tbh, i'm not sure its even going to fit. My board is matx and where the back bracket will go on, it isnt lined up with the cpu cutout on the case and it doesnt look like theres enough space between the motherboard plate and motherboard to fit :(

The fans I added were Thermaltake Blue LED's 120mm the other fans are stock. I wouldn't worry too much about your cooler fitting, the CPU cut out is ample size for a majority of coolers. The front switch near the Firewire connector on the front panel slows your fans by 100RPM or so when set to low, so less noise ;)

Got this case.
Ive currently got the standard 2 intakes, 1 120mm on the top HDD cage (took the lower out), 200m on side, 2x 120mm on rad at back and 2x 140 on roof on rad.

Never really had experience with air cooling in this, just jumped straight to wc.

Nice and chilly :)

Managed to grab some pics this morning to explain what i mean, the first image i tilted the camera to look under the motherboard plate which gives the impression its fine but as you can see in the second image, its gonna be a tight fit if it does manage to squeeze in.

Will the Hyper 212's bracket and screws fit there?

Can you not see the top screw holes though? They're slightly covered by the motherboard tray.

I'll soon find out i suppose once my cooler arrives, speaking of which i need to contact ocuk and see where its got too. DPD were meant to be delivering it on the 27th :(

I see where your getting at, but really, if the stock cooler fitted, then theres no reason why the hyper cooler shouldn't as the back plates for theres coolers are pretty much identical to intels stock, in proportion sizes when it comes to the back plates. In short, one size fits all!

Thanks for all your replies but my cooler was out of stock in the end and i got a refund lol

All that worrying for nothing, i'm just gonna save up and get the H100i, at least i know my case was designed for that cooler :D
