If you pose in the House of Parliament with a loaf of hovis mr minister who reads ocuk you will get some serious respect!

Parliament opened a hashtag where we could 'ask Maude' questions. I asked why 10-15% turnout was OK for the Police Crime Commissioner elections but Government demands a 50% turnout for Union strike ballots.

I have no idea why they chose my tweet over thousands of others though.

Mr Flynn expressed dismay at the minister's replies, but Mr Maude said he couldn't understand "what point it is you are making".

Thanks to the involvement of social networking, the Labour MP was able to argue that public opinion would support his line of attack: "I am not making it. It is @LordSplodge and various others that are making this. They only want their questions answered."
