Hello.

Had a sapphire 7970 reference under an xspc razor blocks for about a week now.

The max overclock I can get so far is 1330 core 1700 mem at 1.385v at a balmy 60 degrees.

Any ideas to push this further? I'm a measly 2 points away from the top ten on the heaven board.

What memory voltage are you using? You should be able to squeeze about 50Mhz more on the memory if your lucky.

Cpu does play some part but not as much as say 3dmark11.

Ramp it up to 1.4v, 1350/1800 you should easily be in the top 10.

Can't get the volts to 1.4 mate. 1.385 is my max. Unless there is another way?

I'm using trixx because for some reason if I start to move the memory slider on afterburner I get artifacting on the desktop

Have you pushed the memory volts up? If not try 1800 @ 1.65v, should be more than enough to find the correction limit. Heaven likes memory clocks.

Should have 1.4v in trixx & gpu tweak, but it could be bios limited to 1.385v

just tried uping the memory and again afterburner casues my screen to flicker whenever i move the curser.

trixx does not allow me to up the votage of memory.

downloading gpu tweak to give it a go.

If you're careful enough you may be able to run multiple OC tools at once, so could have AB running to take care of memory volts then trixx for everything else....

its AB that is messing me up.

i cant change the any memory setting without artifacting,

i cant change memory votage on trixx,

and i cant change any voltage on gpu tweak.

i give up.

i hear what you are saying but when you have a top end card under water you push it till it breaks then you push it harder.

Perhaps try the Asus OC/Test bios (provided the card is reference) ? Should give you 1.4v and full control over memory voltage in GPU Tweak.
