How do you convince your half size matters?

Erm title typo! Other-halves!

Ive got 700 in johnlewis credit after my 46inck panny plasma couldnt be repaired.

How do I convince my lovely lady a thin bezel 55inch lg is the way to go for 1300?

Try and pick up a cheap old style rear projection tv. Live with that for a couple weeks and then she'll be begging you for a nice flat 55" tv!

pfft that doesnt work with my gf, tried it with a old tv last year and while yes we saved a bit not getting a better one we ended up using the saved money on a holiday :(
 
Just buy it and tell her its a 46, she wont know, after all the thinner bezel will hide it abit :D

I have just had the same thing and had to go for a 42 from a 37, i wanted bigger but in fairness the 42 is plenty big enough for me and the room its in.

Yes do this,

MY old boss did this with his missus, told her a 50" was a 42" LMAO
 
Just buy it tell her you got a really good deal and it only cost the £700 credit ;) You can't pass that sort of deal up!
 
Well I negotiated a 50", but it seems 50" is dying out, serves me right for not doing my bloomin research upfront!
 
get it delivered when she's not at home and bin the evidence (box etc)

measure it across the top ie not diagonally) and enjoy the 55" goodness that she believes is only 50
