Best card on the market for around £200?

I was going to post this exact topic.

You can get GTX660Ti or 7950 for £220 at the moment, is there something that makes 7870 a better choice?

The 7870 is a better option than a 660Ti because it's the same speed for less money.

The 7950 is a better option all round but is over budget for £200.

You would SLI if you had one of those to start I guess, but if not why would you limit all future upgrades, also SLI/XFire can introduce other issues

I'm a novice so don't shoot me down but why would you not go down the route of SLI 560's? for example?

A single fast card is always preferable to two slower cards even if in certain situations the two slower cards may be slightly faster overall.

I'm not convinced that two 560s in SLI will actually be faster at all anyway.

On Anandtech a single 560ti runs at about 40% of a 7950 Boost, so even with 100% scalability you'd still fall short, as well have potential microstutter, larger power draw and potential temp. issues

on a 1gb 460 GTX v 7950 Boost the figues on Battlefiled Ultra setting at 1920*1200 are 40fps v 67fps, and the 7950 is way more overclockable
