Lights at night illegal?

I think it's knobbish having lights shining on other peoples property at night, it's night, you don't need it on if you're not outside. If you're worried about security get a PIR one, and turn the damn sensitivity down so it doesn't go off every 5 minutes.

She's just cranky that the light disturbs her, had she said that outright in a polite and controlled manner I'm sure your Dad would have been more accommodating. Alas, she's disengaged her brain, gone on the warpath, and been confrontational about it so I'd tell your Dad to gradually increase the wattage of the bulb, and the angle of the light until it's like the Batman beacon is being shone in her bedroom.

There's a green at the bottom of our garden. A couple of years ago the council came along and stuck a street light in the middle of the green So my normally pitch black back garden is now illuminated (ok only a little).

This annoys me, there's nothing I can do about it, but if I had a neighbour facing our garden and they had one of those annoying security lights I'd be really annoyed.

Just be polite and adjust the sensitivity and angle it so it only illuminates your property.

I have a spare moment between meetings, and sadly my mind has wondered on to the logistics of firing one out in a letter box.

I don't even.

You could take the bottom panel off and remove the fuse. That's what I'm going to do it they put one up that annoys me.

So tempting. The light isn't bad during summer as the leaves on the trees in our garden and the green block the light but it shines through our patio doors into the dining room in winter annoying me...well anoyying me to the point I have to draw the curtains.

They can probably get the council involved if it's Shining into their property. .. the council will visit you and tell you to remove it if it's extending your own yard

Also you could ask about having a shade fitted to it, but then if they don't and the fuse goes missing they might be knocking on your door..
