Looking around on the net in the past week or so 7950/7970 cards seem to be disappearing from stock on websites. Some still about but not nearly as many.

I heard a new 7890 was being release but cant see anything.

Could this indicate a new product is about to arrive? I don't want to buy a 7950 if its about to be replaced.

Any ideas anyone?

OcUK has no stock issues with 79xx, its just our competitors are not as good as buyer as myself clearly! :D

All lines in stock here!
No such card as a 7890 either, internet rumour. No new cards until Q1/Q2 next year.
 
Looks like there's of stock here. A 7890 if released won't be faster than a 7950. You only have to look at the numbering conventions to tell that. :)
 
OcUK has 8 7950's stating 10+ in stock and 12 7970's showing 10+ in stock, i don't think that's low.

yes I agree, no problem with stock here, but you've probably seen yourself there is elsewhere. if there is shortages, makes me suspicious of a new arrival :)

Nope, I just buy all the stock and OcUK is the UK's no.1 on high-end AMD graphics so we get the best allocations. :)

There is no new product due!

I meant elsewhere, I had several carts full last week and they are all now out of stock. Here is fine, and the prices have dropped too, just cautious as got stung last time :)

Ok cheers buddy, what would you rate as the best 7950 then in your opinion? I just got my son a Gigabyte Windforce 7950 which seems good.

Hi there

If it was my money, I'd buy the Gigabyte Windforce 3X or the HIS 7950 cards. Sapphire is also very good but are more expensive for their Vapor-X cards.
