Far Cry 3 Thread

Surely being attacked on main roads is to be expected. If you are in a country which has been over run by criminals/pirates you should expect that following a main road is going to lead to trouble...

Yes it's expected, doesn't mean I have to like it or pay money for it.
 
I don't know if anyone else finds this, or its just me...but I think the game looks incredible at sunrise/sunset, but once the sun is up and it is sunny, it doesn't look anywhere near as good...a bit cartoony you might say. Someone earlier in the thread said over-saturated, I am not sure if that is the problem?

Oh and I like the way patrols stop if they find an abandoned vehicle and look around
 
Wow, people are complaining about being attacked on roads in a country overrun with pirates and militia. Right then... stealth is very overpowered in this game so duck in the bushes if you see a patrol. If the roads were barren with no enemies on them, people would moan the world is dead, jesus christ.

Also, why does a silencer make my weapon less accurate? Silencers do the complete opposite, it's the bullets range they kill, not the placement. Fail Ubisoft, the people who made Rainbow Six as well. :o

Does anyone feel as if the response from the mouse is very slow? Not sure if it is fps lag but everything else seems smooth? May just have to overclock my old i7 again.

Vsync on? That'll be why if so. My 3570k is loving this game.

Does anyone know if fighting Sharks is mandatory at any point in the game? I have a severe phobia and the thought of even going in the water now I've seen a shark is terrifying me.

Not sure about mandatory, but I need 2 shark skins to craft the next wallet upgrade

The lower velocity of the rounds leads to more bullet drop so accuracy can be affected over distance but how that's modeled in game I can't comment till I get home

Over distance yeah, but there is a range and an accuracy stat for weapons, so why range is unaffected but accuracy is, is beyond me. :confused:

It's not just a flavor for crisps!? OMG I know what I'm having for my X-Mas dinner now, a bowl of Mango chutney and maybe a piece of turkey or potato in it. Maybe. :D

They failed then, the standard little pistol silenced is very easy to get headshots with at medium/long range. :(
 
Why is it i can get into lobbies with many players but the games just don't start, people just quit, ridiculous relase day and loads of people cant play multiplayer!

Well, I accept that the place has been over run and attacks will be common and if you like that then good for you, personally I do not like constant attacks, you end up killing more people than the last five games I have played. I was hoping for more of a change from FC2. I'm sure the game is great but it's a an issue I have and I voiced it. Why can you not say something without being criticised for moaning on forums?

If I can get it for under 20-15 quid I will risk it.
